  1. well yes, I guess its more common that women speak about female matters, so I would think this was a woman’s work. but in my opinion it is always good that men get involved and speak/fight/work for women matters, and viceversa.

    stayed here for a while watching this and trying to make a conclusión, and thats exactly what I thought.
    First I thought the paintings were made by the same artist with similar purpose, but it seems that they were not.
    I can tell that cause in the full size image the small letters -even though are not quite legible- dont look the same.
    So, i believe the paintings might have been taken out of they original context, and the curators then made their own message

    • The skin tone of both the chicken and the woman are almost exactly the same. Could it be as simple as aesthetics that link these paintings? Doubt it, but just a thought.

    • I know! I felt exactly the same when I was in the exhibition. I bet if we really thought about it we could come up with some ideas about the objectification of women, treated like meat, brutalised and shaped by men. To be honest, I do not know what was going through the curator’s mind. I wonder if they were male or female, and if that matters.
